Welcome to Xplic.me. By using our application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Xplic.me ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with these terms, you should not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Xplic.me is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to:

• Analyze and summarize PDF documents
• Identify key points, risks, and recommended actions
• Allow questions about document content

The App is intended for informational and educational purposes only. Generated summaries and analyses do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice.

3. Eligibility

To use Xplic.me you must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Have a compatible iOS device (iOS 17+)
• Have a valid Apple ID for subscription features

4. Account and Subscriptions

4.1 Free Plan

Xplic.me offers a free plan with limited features:

• 5 document analyses per month
• Summary and key points
• 3 questions per document

4.2 Paid Plans

We offer subscription plans (Pro and Ultra) with additional features:

• Pro: 15 documents/month, risks, actions, unlimited chat
• Ultra: Unlimited documents, all features

4.3 Payment and Renewal

• All payments are processed by Apple through the In-App Purchases system
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period
• You can cancel at any time through App Store settings
• There are no refunds for partial subscription periods

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Xplic.me only for legal purposes. You must not:

• Use the App to process illegal or fraudulent documents
• Attempt to access paid features without paying
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Use the App in a way that could damage, overload, or harm our servers
• Share your account with third parties

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property

Xplic.me, including its design, code, logo, and original content, is the exclusive property of Xplic.me and is protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

Documents you submit and generated summaries remain your property. You grant us a limited license to process the content solely to provide the service.

7. AI Limitations

Important: Xplic.me uses artificial intelligence that can make mistakes.

• Summaries are automatically generated and may not capture all details
• Risk identification doesn't replace review by a qualified professional
• Recommended actions are suggestions, not definitive instructions
• For important decisions (contracts, legal documents), always consult a professional

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Xplic.me is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that:

• The App will always be available or error-free
• Summaries will be 100% accurate or complete
• The service will meet all your specific requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Xplic.me will not be liable for:

• Decisions made based on generated summaries
• Financial losses, contractual damages, or other harm
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Errors or omissions in document analysis

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the last 12 months.

10. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Significant changes will be notified through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You use the App fraudulently or abusively
• You don't pay due subscriptions

You can cancel your use at any time by deleting the App and canceling active subscriptions.

12. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of Portugal.
